Cute Little Totoro

The patron saint of geologists is Saint Barbara. I'm not sure why. Apparently, she was locked in a tower for her faith, and someone was hit by lightning.

She is not one of the more impressive saints, and her patronage of earth scientists seems rather tacked on.

I hearby move to have St. Peter be appointed the patron saint of geologists, for what I hope are obvious reasons. Either him, or someone who was stoned to death, or crushed with large rocks, or something.

And as an added note, my new favorite saint is John the Little
